There is nothing so satisfying than seeing a doll customization come to life. Each stage is important and there are always many choices to make along the way so that the doll turns out the way you envision it in your mind. My love with Theresa was always her wide eyes and then her smile alongside those big lips. I'm not sure why, but when shopping for Theresa in the beginning some of the doll molds were looking a bit too "Joker face" for me, and I was getting that creepy vibe. It is a shame that many of the dolls turning up on marketplaces are so very sad looking and some so very shabby as it gives a bad impression to collectors and can really turn away the audience in collecting a doll. I hope that as My Twinn dolls come into my workshop that I can change that negative outlook and instead make people say, "What doll is that?" and "I want one".
So above is progress on the painting of Theresa by my friend Emily. The brows are nicely defined and natural looking and she's been given a bit of blushing on her cheeks. The smile looks natural and she has detailing on her lips. Her eyes have been lined and shadowed which will be excellent when I outfit her with some new lashes and she's been given nice face and ear shading so that she is nicely detailed. I will be really excited to see what wigs she looks best in to complete her look.
Here is her final look.
Thank you for sharing. I am looking forward to the progression of the restoration process continues. Is there a way to make great eyebrows? Any tips would be appreciated.🏵️
