When you are just starting doll collecting with My Twinn Dolls, one of the first things you do when you obtain your first doll is to try to figure out "who that is, or what mold that is". My Twinn Dolls are only available for sale on secondary sources like Mercari, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace or through a Facebook Group. Now the person who posted the doll may have known what they were talking about or they could have guessed or maybe they said nothing at all and it was like "Doll for Sale". in that case you are rapidly trying to find out information about what you just bought. The box might not be labeled, there may be no box, and all the tags will say the brand name and the year but that's all you have to go on.
When I started collecting I stumbled upon a great resource for figuring out the molds, and found that between these two places, I had all the information I needed to familiarize myself with molds.
The first is Logan's Ladies who did a really good job at listing out the molds and giving a bit of a background on them. I found that taking a listing picture of a doll, saving it on my computer or phone and then scrolling through the molds on this website helped me at least narrow it down to the top 5 when looking at faces, and then looking at the year and the notes gave me a 98% educated guess of who I bought.

The second place is the My Twinn Collectors Facebook Group. It's a small group of about 1,800 members, but the active members in this group are so sweet and they are very helpful if you post a photo of your doll in helping identify it.

The last place is really if you are trying to find a doll to buy or buy My Twinn related stuff. Think of it as a marketplace for just My Twinn Dolls. You'll find our posts here as well as we are soon becoming a full service My Twinn Vendor as of June 2024 so we've started posting things for sale.

Another site I found very useful and interesting was a blog about various My Twinn projects and restorations. This was helpful for also getting to know the Facemolds but also a great visual on how you can tranform the eBay and Mercari finds into something a bit more glamorous and less scary.
