We have active conversations with our customers and often times they bring us ideas of new styles or colors that they would like to see. Since we do purchase in bulk, we evaluate the request with a few different factors.
Does it fit with the type of products we offer?
Is it a size that we currently support?
Is it a color formula that we can achieve?
Do we think that enough buyers would be interested in this wig if we brought it in stock?
Is it something that you wouldn't see on another doll vendor's website?
If the answer is yes to all, there's a good chance we will take the custom request and run with it. We enjoy creating new products. If you see a custom request on our website, the ball is already rolling on that item which means we have approved the request and it's on order. Once the product comes in the "Custom Request" picture will be removed and the product pictures will be uploaded.
Can you pre-order a Custom Request item if you weren't the original person who initiated it? Yes, but you may want to touch base with us if there are any aspects of the design or color that you have questions on. Custom requests will have reference pictures or describe what we are creating but it hasn't been created yet, so you might want to wait until official pictures are taken so you have an idea of what it actually looks like. Custom requests have a margin for difference as they are created for the first time and therefore may not be identical to the inspiration pictures. If you are okay with that, then yes you can pre-order. If you are unsure of that, wait until the product's final pictures are released and then you can order it.
Can any customer make a custom request? Yes contact us through chat, email, or our contact form to make a suggestion and discuss it. We will let you know if it's something that meets our criteria or not in the initial conversation.
