This beautiful doll was made as an artistic collaboration between Bbeauty Dolls and @DollMakersNotebook and is one of a kind.  This doll is made from a previously loved American Girl doll and repurposed to be loved once again.  
 
The Head:
 
The head is handpainted by @dollmakersnotebook featuring a red and black Day of the Dead motif.  It has a scull like appearance with flowers blooming around the eyes and artistic red and black motifs.  The mouth has black lipstick with scars coming out on each side and black blush.  The background of the face has been painted a smokey white and has shading in various areas.  The face has been sealed with matte sealer to retain it's artistry.  The ears and neck are not painted.
 
The hair is our Gretyl wig in black which features two long braids which cross over the head.  Red florals have been inserted into the front braids to form a red rose crown.  The bangs of this wig have been shortened to reveal more of the scull facepaint.  There is a black mesh veil with single red rose at the back which is fastened to a hair barrette for easy removal.
 
At the ears, handmade black and white clay floral beads dangle upside down on two silver hoops decorated with red beads.
 
Body:
 
We wanted to give more of the illusion of a skeletal structure so the doll is wearing a skeleton t-shirt and skeleton metallic gloves on black background underneath the dress.  This gives the illusion of the exposed chest area being bones instead of the natural tan of the doll's body and hides her hands which would also be tan and gives her a more spooky dead look.
 
The black and white dress is an 18th century dress which has been bustled in the overskirt and given a ruffle to the underskirt with a velvet ribbon accent.  The front snaps closed and is decorated with red beads to match her earrings but also to look like tiny buttons.  The dress is long sleeved with a slight puff at the top and attaches to an overskirt.  The overskirt is bustled and delicately hand sewn in various places to keep the tucks in place.
 
Under her dress, she is wearing our Edwardian black and grey boots to match her outfit.
