This is a custom historical shoe designed by Bbeauty Designs and you won't find it anywhere else! This shoe has an elongated more oval shaped toe rather than the typical 18" doll flat you find for American Girl which is short and rounded. It is made of a matte leatherette (faux leather) and is incredibly detailed. It has a pointed top, stitching on sides and front, cut out shapes that travel from ankle up to calf, and four straps with pearl buttons. The straps all have button holes for the pearl to go through so they are authentic button ups (no velcro). This shoe has a flat hard plastic sole and low heel attached and doll can balance without toppling over in these shoes. Perfect to pair with Samantha outfits and Edwardian style clothing.

I love these shoes; they are perfect to complete Edwardian outfits. They are such a nice replica of what women wore during this Era. I'm so pleased to have the button closure instead of velcro, because this is the way it should be. Personally, I did not find it difficult to button them up. I started by the bottom and made my way up. The pearls do slide in the buttonholes very nicely.
So far only Samantha has worn these, but they are darling with her Burgundy Christmas Dress! Took a little while to get the hang of how they fasten, but then it was a snap!
