This is an absolutely gorgeous doll and if you collect dolls in historical fashion it is a must have.
Firstly she is all original mint in the box. The box is two pieces and I’ve removed the lid to show the doll.
Her outfit is fantastic, she’s got a fabulous hat that is wired so you can bend and shape it to frame her face. It’s decorated with ribbons and flowers and lace on the inside and outside. She’s wearing a period dress in a taupe color accented by dusty rose and ivory lace. Her hair is a light brown and mixed with reddish tones. Natural makeup. She’s porcelain and stands 22” tall. Her hands are actually detailed white gloves. Her matching parasol is decorative it doesn’t open.
She comes with a copy of her original catalog advertisement which says “Gabriella The Gibson Girl’s Day at the Races. Gabriella is dressed for a day at The Charity Derby in her stunning taupe colored day dress with a matching hat and cape, accented with rose moire bows and pretty grosgrain ribbon. Enhanced by delicate ivory lace and dainty sweetheart rosebuds and an ivory lace trimmed parasol. Authorized by Dana Gibson.” Original price on this piece was $200 plus shipping.
