This wig is designed for those owning a Kirsten doll where the hair has gone bad and needs replacement. In terms of color, we've created a very close shade to the original 1990's version doll which we call Classic Blonde (her hair got a lot more golden in later years). The wig is formulated to part into pigtails in the back without showing the wefts (tiny rows of short cut hairs show instead). Other wigs have a skin part in the back which makes it hard if you wish to change the styling out of pigtails. With this method you can take down Kirsten's hair and style it in other ways as the hair will brush out normally over the short cut hairs. The length is the standard length to the original.
The beautiful thick braids and pie bangs make this wig a popular choice for replacement on any Kirsten with bad hair. We've been happy to be a part of many childhood restorations where Kirsten has been given new life with our wig.
Note:
Although we've strived to get as close as possible, the braids are just slightly wider than the original which makes thicker loops than the original. For those really trying for the exact loop replica, since our wig is the closest replica on the market, you can braid the braids tighter to make them that fraction skinnier or thin out the braids to make that fraction smaller. We also have a wig called Gretyl in Swedish Blonde where braids are fastened over the head. These braids are skinnier and we have found that customers have also gently taken down these braids to form the loops. We are continuously working on achieving the loops wigs for future.

Please note pictures of the wig vary depending on if they are taken in outdoor lighting versus indoor lighting. Wigs are not meant to be put over existing hair and will not fit if you try to do this. Doll must be bald with the previous wig removed from the head. To put on the wig correctly line up the front of the wig to the hairline on the front of the doll, hold in place and stretch cap over the head to the back. Adjust as necessary.

I actually got this to make my new Kirsten as close to the original as possible, since the PC Kirsten has lighter blonde hair. I had to trim the bangs a bit, but the wig quality is great and I had no trouble braiding and putting up in Kirsten's signature loops!
I have a 2009 Kirsten and her wig doesn't need to be replaced. I bought this wig because it is a repro of the PC wig, and I’m so happy to have it for my custom dolls! Whether you need to replace the wig on your1990s Kirsten or not, this is a wig that you won’t regret buying! It is so beautiful, soft and lush, with the Pie bangs that are now hard to find. It easily stretches to accommodate a Josefina mold as you can see on my pic. Note, my picture was taken indoors with a flash.
I have had a PC Kirsten in my collection for a little bit now, but her hair was looking particularly ratty. I was trying to find replacement wigs when it ended up being beyond what I could fix and this one fit the bill completely! It arrived quickly and was packaged very nicely. Would highly recommend!
