If you are doing your own faceups I recommend googling some drawing videos. There are great videos out there that just concentrate on parts of the face. You can practice on paper first until you perfect your artistry and then do it on a doll’s face.

Not legal, but it’s up to each brand to police and find creators that do that sort of thing.

I agree, it’s a tiny bit stare eyes but I’ve seen worse on some other Tonners so I’m going to try the blow dryer method and see if I can pry them out.

Hair ties are a good fast method too. I do this with many dolls when I don’t want to do the restringing from scratch.

If the eyes are already out you are half way there. You start by heating the head, then it’s popping in new eyes.

You can definitely add one. We are restoring several and you can find many on eBay and Mercari.

We are sorry to hear you had trouble. I’ve tested our eyes and I know they fit and that length is not the issue. And we have many customers who use our eyes and are successful. It may be a question of not getting the vinyl hot enough or not angling the eye when inserting. The short shallow eyes will let you get away with more if you don’t have those specifications right. It is a matter of preference as well. I actually think the shallower eyes are harder because they are completely round on the bottom and so there’s no angle to grip the eye when pushing into the socket. With the longer back you can angle it into the socket before you push them in. But realistically neither of those things matter because whether the eye is round or longer at the back both eyes fit the doll and it gets down to what your used to and your comfort level in the process. But it would be inaccurate to say they fail or don’t fit at all.
